Information Management Course was held for the first time in Varna, Bulgaria

On June 11th, 2013 at a ceremony in the Technical University of Varna, the certificates to the successfully completed the first course in Information Management in Bulgaria, were handed. Thirty people from Varna and the region took part in the course.

The development of the program and the conduct of the course are joint initiative of Adastra Bulgaria Ltd. and the Technical University of Varna, of the team consisted of: Prof. Dr. Boris Rachev, Technical University of Varna, Lyoubomir Ovtcharov, CEO Adastra Bulgaria Ltd. and Ivan Pavlov, Line Manager, Adastra Bulgaria Ltd.

The course included the following topics: Importance of the Information Management,The Basic Principles of the Data Warehousing, Data Quality and Data Integration processes. During the lab practice the course participants also had the opportunity to gain practical knowledge (experience) with Ataccama DQC - tool for data quality management in Adastra Group.

As an initiator of the program, Adastra Bulgaria Ltd. aims to promote Information Management as an area of development for young engineers in Bulgaria. Another main purpose is a long-term collaboration with universities all over the country that will support the convergence of the educational system and the needs of the business in the country.
